Angry atheist

So far, I’ve put some work into being polite on this blog. My goal is to remove the stigma from the word “atheist,” and to that end I feel polite discourse is important. HOWEVER. That’s a big “however,” and it’s here I may lose some of you who are still believers. I hope that you’ll hear me out before dismissing me, or heading to the comments to light the blog on fire. You see, I feel I need to clarify one point. I believe in being civil with individual believers, to the extent that they aren’t pushing their religion into … Continue reading →

Condescending, rude, dismissive…hell, I want to punch them just writing this description. But this isn’t that kind of atheist site. I’m a nice atheist (most of the time). I’m not here to put anyone down. I’m not here to preach the “gospel” of atheism (since, really, there is no gospel of atheism, contrary to what you might have heard). So, why does this blog exist? Excellent question, rhetorical reader. … Continue reading →

"So, have you met that new guy, Greg?"
"No, not yet."
"Well, he's an..."
"...Asshole?"
"No, the other a-word. He's an atheist!"
*gasp*
